Managing Stress in Your Life

Stress is a part of life. Research has consistently demonstrated that stress is the leading cause of health concerns in our society. Stress affects you emotionally, and compromises your immune system. November is a typical time of stress and of feeling overwhelmed. As you prepare for the holiday season, you will add additional items to the already long “to do list” and place more demands on your time. The winter months are also upon you, and you may notice a change in your mood, as you anticipate the decrease in light, or confinement to the indoors. Give yourself the gift of spending a weekend gaining the tools for managing stress and enjoying your life, regardless of the time of year. After all, the holidays are meant to be happy.

In this workshop you will

  • Identify how you currently manage or mismanage stress
  • Acquire tools for effective stress management.
  • Transform negative emotions into positive emotions.
  • Gain the support and encouragement of others
  • Connect with a playful part of you again.
  • Learn how to take time for yourself.
  • Learn how to put the “happy” in winter and the holidays.
